Trigger just added. No status so far

    Hi All.

    Running Zabbix 2.0.2 on Debian..

I am trying to monitor the status of my SSL Certs and want Zabbix to alarm me when they are set to expire.

I found a template that will accomplish this task along with a script that lives in /etc/zabbix/externalscripts. If you want copies of these let me know and I can send them to any interested parties. Anyhow. I have imported the template and attached it to hosts that have SSL certs installed on them. While all seems ok, I get an error on the triggers page for each host. The error for each trigger associated with the template is "ERROR: Trigger just added. No status update so far". I have a feeling that the triggers are not being triggered as I know of one cert that is going to expire next month and there is a 60 day trigger that should alarm me that it will expire within this time period. Any ideas on A) what this error really means and B) is there something actually wrong. Thanks!

You get that message when you've just added a trigger for and item and the item hasn't been checked since the trigger was added.

Are you still getting that message? and if so how often does the item do it's check? I imagine for something like an SSL certificate it would be like once a day.

Thanks for the reply. I just went and looked at all the hosts I added this template to and more than 24 hours later I am still getting this message on all of the triggers. The update interval for the triggers in this template is 86400 secs (which if my math is correct is 1 day or 24 hours). Do I assume that these triggers are not triggering anything in while this message is in place?
