    Zabbix agent on Windows cannot connect

    CONFIG:

    Server=192.168.14.118
    Hostname=liam-host
    LogFile=c:\zabbix_agentd.win.log

    LOG:

    4364:20131101:110338.625 Starting Zabbix Agent [liam-host]. Zabbix 2.0.9 (revision 39075).
    360:20131101:110338.630 agent #0 started [collector]
    4512:20131101:110338.631 agent #1 started[listener]
    2744:20131101:110338.631 agent #2 started[listener]
    2352:20131101:110338.631 agent #3 started[listener]

    This all looks fine to me. However, after adding the new host I see a red Z with the message

    Get value from agent failed: cannot connect to [[xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx]:10050]: [4] Interrupted system call

    in addition, the following command executed on the Zabbix server (Fedora 19) times out:

    zabbix_get -s xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx -p 10050 -k agent.ping

    (I am substituting xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx for my host's actual IP address btw)

    Any ideas? I've been googling for hours and still no love. Thanks!!!!

    Hi

    It´s a firewall issue, if you try telnet xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx 10050 it will not answer probably.

      Thanks for your reply. The firewall on both machines has been disabled.

        I would agree with the PP, as my experience with that error message has been either a communication problem or the agent isn't actually running.
