    monitor tomcat with Template JMX Generic zabbix 2.2.0

    change item type.seems does not work.

    these are offical templete, i dont get it.

      JMX/Tomcat with Zabbix 2.2

      Hi,

      same problem here. Official template for monitoring JMX/Tomcat with Zabbix 2.2 has many "unsupported items", does anybody have better templates please?

              Same problem for me.

              Zabbix Template tomcat7 contain many items, that are in not supported statte on my installation.

              Can anybody advice how to get list(and description, if exist) of all jmx parameters, that can be monitored on tomcat.

                  I have found terrible negligence!
                  Template "Template JMX Tomcat", that shipped with zabbix have no escape of " in the names of Mbeans.
                  This leads taht most part of items in template are not-supported. Unfortunately, due to the problem I spent several hours investigating this trivial issue. I'm sure many other people too.

                  E.g:
                  Code:
                  Instead of 
jmx["Catalina:type=GlobalRequestProcessor,name=http-8080",bytesReceived]

you should use:
jmx["Catalina:type=GlobalRequestProcessor,name=\"http-bio-8080\"",bytesReceived]

                  It works like a charm for me after setting the values of macroses in templates:
                  {$AJP_PORT} 8009
                  {$CONNECTOR_MODE} bio
                  {$HTTPS_PORT} 8443
                  {$HTTP_PORT} 8080

                  Could you please fix default tomcat template?
                  Or may I make a pull request? How to do it?
