    Host monitoring but the availability icon is gray

    Hi,

    I'm days with a host being monitored, but in Zabbix Web interface the icon for the availability of the same turns gray. Checking the latest data from the host, the collections are happening normally. This host has a proxy and both the agent and the proxy settings are configured correctly. Have tried to remove / add the host to reload the configuration cache, restarting the services and the availability icon remains gray even collecting the information. The log does not show anything wrong, making it difficult to identify the source of this problem. I ask for help to solve this problem. Grateful,

    Informations:

    Zabbix Proxy
    Mode= active
    Server=<zabbix_server_ip>
    ServerPort=<zabbix_server_trapper_port>
    Hostname=<hostname_of_proxy_defined_in_GUI>

    Zabbix Agent
    Server=<proxy_ip>
    ServerActive=<proxy_ip>
    Hostname=<same_name_defined_by_'hostname'_field_in _GUI>

    Zabbix Server, Zabbix Proxy and Zabbix agent version 2.0.8
    S.O. Linux Debian 6.0.7 (Squeeze)

    I believe host availability information is set by polling processes only.
    Is it for sure that there is at least one passive collected (of type 'Zabbix agent') item?

      Hi, flavio.johann
      If the host has Active Zabbix Agent, it turns to "Monitoring" when any trigger got "Problem" state.
      The other way is to set at least one passive agent item (as BDiE8VNy said).
      Bests,
      Grzegorz
