    Nice guy, you are.

Hint: if it would be a error or bug in the product itself, don't you think that a lot of people would be responding and offering help and that there would be a fixed version out soon? Which leads to the assumption that the error must lie on you side.

People like you which even do not bother to tell the used version of zabbix while asking for help are quite unbelievable.

Nota bene: search for "selinux" here and you will find a lot of posts regarding proper selinux configuration. You - being a server admin - should be able to know that selinux might be a permissive tool which interferes in network connections.
The Debian package from the repository installs the configuration files to that location. Also, the subject clearly says which Zabbix version is concerned: 2.2 and every minor release after that.

Zabbix displays a lot of strange behaviors in 2.2 with unclear error messages, e.g. the Latest Data bug that was hard to reproduce, and the forum seems a good place to ask these questions before flooding developers with bugs that may indeed be configuration issues.

If you have nothing constructive to add to a thread, keep it to yourself. Patronizing garnish doesn't help anyone.

The debian package "zabbix-frontend-php" installs just an empty /etc/zabbix/web directory and nothing else there. Havin a config file there is definitely non-standard.

For the rest: never mind. Besides: I have not seen much help from your side either.

BTW, @eriedl, the rant I gave was not meant for you anyway. Don't know why you're feeling called. And my oracle sphere telling that you are using debian (while the TO mentioned CentOS) is out of service.

            Hi all,

the thread is old, but keeping in mind, that I had the same issue, I'll open it again.

I just installed zabbix 2.2.3 on Debian 7 (Wheezy) and had the same problem:
In Administration, Queue I got Permission denied.

I went to /etc/zabbix/web/zabbix.conf.php and changed
            $ZBX_SERVER = 'zabbix.xxx.xxx.de';
            to
            $ZBX_SERVER = 'localhost';

            then I restarted.
            Now I have my Queue.

The problem is maybe "self-made". During the installation the web frontend asked me about my server and I gave the FQDN instead of localhost.
I sees to me, that you shouldn't give the FQDN there, just leave it with "localhost".
If you already did it, then you can change it like described.

            Wish you luck!

I just had a chance to fix this on my installation.
The problem was caused by invalid DB credentials in zabbix.conf.php:

We've recently moved to a new database server, updated zabbix_server.conf but forgot about PHP config.

Frontend tried to work with old database which was still accepting connections, and this resulted in this strange side effect.

bumping an old thread, but I'm having issues with loading the queue, but its simply timing out at the 3 second limit randomly. Other times its loading fine.

Any ideas on how to extend the timeout for this page load?

                --

posting here as its one of the only threads i can find with any information at all.

                    Please follow the link below.
                    https://www.zabbix.com/documentation...stration/queue

                    It states :
"This happens when PHP configuration parameters $ZBX_SERVER_PORT or $ZBX_SERVER in zabbix.conf.php point to existing Zabbix server which uses different database".

Cross check what you entered in zabbix_server.conf file and in zabbix.conf.php ( DBHost , Port, Username, Password )

I recently just had this same issue in version 5.2. This occurred after ubuntu server 20.04 pkg was updated. I noticed a new file zabbix_server.conf.dpkg-old in /etc/zabbix. The issue was that the DBPassword was removed in /etc/zabbix/zabbix_server.conf.

Just an overview note, there can be different reasons for not accessing queue, some of them are:
                        • incorrect $ZBX_SERVER_PORT or $ZBX_SERVER in zabbix.conf.php
                        • SELinux or some other security hardening tool
                        • different databases used by Frontend and Zabbix server
