I had a server with a single proxy up and running. I added 100 more systems to monitor with the proxy and I guess I over loaded the the memory on the proxy and it crashed. A couple days later I check the server and notice that all the systems monitored by the proxy were unreachable. I found the error in the zabbix_proxy.log that pointed to the memory problem. I correct this and restart the zabbix-proxy. The server is telling me that is back running, i see the process on the proxy server but the server staill says it has not been seen for 4days.
My systems are CentOS 7.3 with MySQL 5.7 databases. PHP 5.7, both 6vCpu
Server has 26GB ram, 700GB disk space
Proxy has 12GB ram, 300GB disk space
The proxy has 243 host and 23279 items
The queue reports 2251 items over 10min on the proxy, 4 items on the server.
Proxy Performance is ~235 vps server is 230 vps, cache, and processes are what i call in a normal range, no alerts.
Server=<my master Server>
ServerPort=10051
HostName=<name of the proxy>
Heartbeat=30
ConfigFrequency=3600
DataSendFrequency=1
StartPollers=64
StatePollerunreachsable=16
StartTrappers=96
Housekeeping=2
Cachesize=96M
StartDBSyncers=6
HistoryCacheSize=256M
HistoryIndexCacheSize=64M
TimeOut=30
I need to know how to get the server to see the proxy on the administrator / proxy screen I am guesing.
