Zabbix Cisco ASA 5505

Good morning everyone,

I am currently installing a new zabbix server 3.4.

I get this template for my ASA

it seems to be SNMP v2 but I have my asa is set up in SNMP v3.

Should I modify this template to match with v3 or it's gonna work like that ?

On my current server, I have a different template with Macro to match with Auth, name and priv (SNMP setttings) but not in the template I dowloaded recently (see previous link).

I am quite new with zabbix.

For standalone items in Zabbix version 3.4 you can use "Mass Update" button.



But there are also 14 item prototype items in your situation. For those you have to manually click through the item wizard and design the same view as in your working SNMPv3 template.

If you believe you can face this problem in future I would suggest to go different road like:
1) create template with one standalone SNMPv3 item;
2) create another template with one standalone SNMPv2 item;
3) it would be nice to make sure booth templates are working;
4) export booth templates to seperated xml files;
5) open files with some text editor, compare the content, note the difference.

Armed with this knowledge we can move back to "Template Cisco ASA Discoveryv3.xml" and do some replacements.
