Hi,
I have zabbix server version 2.2.1. I'm trying to monitor ESXi 5.0 cluster.
I have configured the server according to this part of the manual: https://www.zabbix.com/documentation.../vm_monitoring
The cluster nodes and VM-s are discovered correctly and i'm receiving data for most items. Problem seems to be with "Network device discovery", "Disk device discovery" rules. I have also seen the sam problem with these items:
Template Virt VMware Hypervisor: Number of bytes transmitted
Template Virt VMware Hypervisor: Number of bytes received
The network interfaces and filesystems are discovered, but at random intervals these items become unsupported and later supported again. I see entries like these in the server log:
10880:20140115:160427.401 item [57058be2-5dd1-864a-b4fe-d97058ba16cc:vmware.vm.net.if.in[{$URL},{HOST.HOST},4000,pps]] became not supported: Simple check is not supported

Things, i have tried so far:
- This server installation is upgrade from version 2.0.8. I have tried to delete and reinstall vmware templates(as suggested in https://support.zabbix.com/browse/ZBX-7193).
- Tested this in new clean 2.2.1 version server installation and have the same problem there also.
- Tried to fiddle with StartVMwareCollectors VMwareCacheSize server parameters without luck.
- Tried different Polling intervals without any luck.
Any suggestions how to debug/solve this problem(also pointers where to look) are greatly appreciated.
Best Regards,
Jesper
