2.2.1 Proxy internal items not working

I upgraded Zabbix 2.0.9 to 2.2.1, server and 5 proxies. The new internal items on 2 of the proxies aren't reporting, the other 3 are OK. The 2 that aren't working are busier than the others, but they keep up.

We're 6000 hosts, 905K items, 3550 NVPS. The failing proxies are running 1500-1700 NVPS.

Any thoughts?

I think it's related to this:

Message size 70934946 from x.x.x.x exceeds the maximum size 67108864 bytes. Message ignored.

After the upgrade, the proxy log shows this error. I don't think the new config ever makes it to the proxy.

No fix seems to exist????
