Hi there,
We have been using zabbix for a while and there are some problems which jump out every now and then.
1)Sometimes the items in queues will accumulate to a high number and on the UI it will say the zabbix server is not running. Sometimes it won't happen for weeks, but it happened twice today, which are obvious on the graphs below.

2) Sometimes when an alert is triggered and acknowledged, it's still keep sending out emails. The only way to resolve the issue we have now is to delete the event.
The version of zabbix we're using is 2.0.9 and the server has 8 core cpu and 8GB memory. We're using mariadb as database. We do have lots of "first network error" in the zabbix_server.log and we're trying to improve the performance. Currently we have StartPollers=300, HousekeepingFrequency=12, MaxHousekeeperDelete=20000 and CacheSize=256M. Please feel free to reply back if you have any suggestions.
[root@monitor ~]# uname -r
2.6.32-431.1.2.0.1.el6.x86_64
[root@monitor ~]# cat /etc/redhat-release
CentOS release 6.5 (Final)
