    Current database version (mandatory/optional): 3030027/3030027

    Upgraded from : 3.2.11-1.el7.x86_64
    to : 3.4.11-1.el7.x86_64
    RHEL Linux 7.3 + MariaDB ? MySQL

So... I read the upgrade information and saw nothing that should cause me issues.......
So like a dummy I went ahead with a rapid upgrade approach. ( Never again )

I tried to fire zabbix back up after the upgrade and I was met with this message..

14788:20180705:115706.315 [Z3005] query failed: [1005] Can't create table 'zabbix.#sql-4e2_1fdc73' (errno: 121) [alter table alerts add constraint c_alerts_5 foreign key (p_eventid) references events (eventid) on delete cascade]

So I decided to say screw it and roll it back.. Now I am met with this message.

The frontend does not match Zabbix database. Current database version (mandatory/optional): 3030027/3030027. Required mandatory version: 3020000. Contact your system administrator.

Please help.. I really don't want to lose over a years worth of data collection. I am not a DBA and do not understand the underpinnings of databases at all. I am losing data collection / alerting with every second.

    Thanks in advance.

Did you update the frontend package too?

If you updated it please try rebooting the web server and clearing the cache of the browser.

Thanks for the replies. I ended up rolling back and losing 24 hours of monitoring data. I plan to clone the boxes when I have time and do some testing before attempting to upgrade again.

      Thanks,
      J
