    EventLog Windows

    Hello everyone,

    I have a problem with "EventLog", I use the right template and I have exactly the same configuration : (https://www.zabbix.com/wiki/howto/mo...ndows_eventlog)

    But the problem come of the trigger :
    "Trigger just added, no status update so far" since 2 days....

    Do you have any suggestions?

    Thank you in advance,
    Thomas

    Bonjour à tous,

    J'ai un problème avec "EventLog", j'utilise bien le template et j'ai la même configuration qu'ici (https://www.zabbix.com/wiki/howto/mo...ndows_eventlog)

    Le problème vient en fait du trigger :
    "Trigger just added, no status update so far" depuis 2 jours maintenant.

    Avez vous des suggestions?

    Merci par avance,
    Thomas

    You might want to make sure that the Item Type in the item configuration is set to "Zabbix Agent (active)", and that the zabbix agent configuration on those hosts are properly configured with a valid "ServerActive" entry.

    The EventLog keys only work as active checks I believe.

    Joel.

      Thank you Joel,

      But, the item type is already set to "Zabbix agent (active)".
      And The serverActive in Agentconfd is like that : ServerActive=127.0.0.1
      It's good ? Because it still doesn't work

          ServerActive keyword has an information about Destination where your agent has to send all collected data.

          In case when you have Zabbix server on the same PC where Zabbix agent is, the address 127.0.0.1 is correct.

          In real life when your Zabbix server works on different PC, the both keyword Server and ServerActive (usually) hold the same IP-address.

          Code:
          Server=10.10.10.10
          ServerActive=10.10.10.10
          Sincerely yours,
          Aleksey

            Hello aib,

            Thank you for your reply.

            I'm not sure if I understand...
            In my case, Zabbix server is on a PC (Precisely on Vmware) with IP address : 172.27.16.xxx

            And I want supervise eventLog on another PC (IP address : 172.27.222.x) So, my ZabbixAgent should be like that :

            Server=172.27.16.xxx
            ServerActive=172.27.16.xxx

            Right ?
            Because my trigger doesn't change. Even with a reboot

              I have restarted Zabbix and now, the trigger of eventlog (only this one) became "Zabbix was restarted" since 2h..

                Did you restart the agent another PC (IP address : 172.27.222.x) ?
                Did you try to change DebugLevel another PC (IP address : 172.27.222.x) to DebugLevel=4 , restart the agent(service) and check any errors/warinings in log-file?
                Sincerely yours,
                Aleksey
