Zabbix Agent Start Up After OS Reboot

    Hello All,

There are about 300 server where zabbix agents are installed and server needs to be rebooted every time when OS patch happen. For some of the server zabbix agents start automatically but some we need to bring up manually.

For so much server bring up zabbix agent is quiet impossible.
Could you please help is there any method where zabbix agent can be brought up automatically.

OS are Windows server, Linux(RHEL). and AIX

    Thanks
    Satyajit

    1. For the Windows agents, make sure to install it as a service: https://www.zabbix.com/documentation...indows_service
    2. On GNU/Linux systems, if you use packages, they will be started on boot.
    3. On AIX: I'm not an expert, but I've found this one: https://catonrug.blogspot.com/2016/0...t-for-aix.html . From these instructions the ones you need are:
      1. Set Zabbix Agent to boot at startup (you need to have user "zabbix" in the system):
        • Code:
          mkitab "zabbix:2:once:/sbin/zabbix_agentd >/dev/null 2>&1
      2. Check if zabbix is installed to boot at startup:
        • Code:
          lsitab zabbix
