    Zabbix Scalling for virtualized environment

    Hellllloooooo there!

So, i'm helping a team with a new Zabbix environment, and they ask for a virtual version of Zabbix running on many sites. Each site work with a small bunch of hosts (like 70 per site). We are working with a proxy on it and a centralized DB.

So, are we doing the right thing? We were thinking about using a 1GB RAM and 1 core for each Zabbix VM, which has one per site, after all we are consulting less than 70 hosts, and grow if needed (vertical scalling on each site, adding 1 aditional core and 1 GB RAM to it, or more if needed).

Did any of you do something like this before? Did i miss some info? Is it possible to scale up our VMs? How can we correctly dimension the HW resources?

Here's a small piece of art, made in paintbrush, to illustrate our thinking.

    Thanks!
