    ::RegularExpressions manipulation::

    Greeting guy's,

    We run Zabbix ver 4.0. when I try to eliminate specific windows services.

    Its partly works when using Regular Expressions method.

    e.g. ^(iphlpsvc|TrustedInstaller|MapsBroker|ShellHWDetection|CDPSvc|WbioSrvc|RemoteRegistry|BITS|OneSyncSvc_\w+|MMCSS|gupdate|SysmonLog|clr_op timization_v2.0.50727_32|clr_optimization_v4.0.303 19_32)$
    • RemoteRegistry
    • TrustedInstaller
    • ShellHWDetection

    Why some of the Expressions works and some doesn't.

    will happy for some direction.

    Thank you,
    Kpax

    Hi Kpax,,

    You mean that these services still show up with LLD?

    Keep in mind that the service starts with the name "RemoteRegistry" and cannot have any extra characters afterwards ($).

      Hi Network Guy,

      thanks for reply, maybe I wasn't clear enough.
      what I am looking to achieve is to monitor some of windows services instead of all the services that comes with the Discovery.
      However I will try your suggestion, and try to 'chop' and define them separately.
      Will update with the results.

      Thanks heaps,
      Kpax

        ::RESOLVED::

        Quick update the RegExp was working correct, I found the issue under Template OS Windows > Windows Service Discovery > *Keep lost resources period: 365d
        as soon I reset the value to 0 days all was working as it should.

        now its been set to 30d and not for 365d

        regards,
        Kpax
