Cannot send list of active checks to [X.X.X.X]: host [Hostname] not found

Hello,

For testing purposes, we have added a host to a Zabbix server version 2.2.1 (revision 40808) that we have removed after a certain time. Taking a look at the server logs we realized that the server was still trying to reach this testing host every two minutes.

2900:20140226:113428.879 cannot send list of active checks to [X.X.X.X]: host [Hostname] not found

How can we do to completely remove this machine from our server ?

Misinterpret the error message

Even if the host had been removed from the server, the agent had not been uninstalled or reconfigured, so he was still trying to communicate with the server to obtain the list of items to be returned to him. The error message was nevertheless clear!
