Missing Admin Menu options after update

Seems after a recent update I no longer have the 'Admin" menu options. Only Monitoring | Inventory | Reports is displayed. Followed by the absence of any agent information on the dashboard. I could provide screen shots or myriad of other information if it assists anyone, but wanted to see if this issue is known or familiar to the Zabbix community prior. I searched using both general web search engines and within the Zabbix forum finding no solution, ultimately leading to my post here. Insight into correcting this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, did you already try logging out and back in again? I’ve seen situations, maybe related to upgrades, where the existing session has been downgraded to user/guest level instead of admin level session.

I reviewed your video and although helpful if I were using an Ubuntu server. I verified my Zabbix repository settings are correct, service was stopped for the update, sql-db backed up, update performed, and eventually service restarted.

Included is screen of the Zabbix dashboard.

When upgrade successfully completed then you can redesign your Zabbix dashboard. Default Dashboard some missing data. Delete old Dashboard.

In an attempt to create a new dashboard an interesting development has appeared. Seems the admin account may be a guest account now? Permissions or SQL error perhaps? I'm unable to change the owner of the dashboard too.

It seems that you signed in with a guest account.
Since the humanoid icon is not displayed on the upper right, it is a state where the administrator can not log in.

Please press the button on the upper right, sign out and sign in again by administrator.

I appreciate the advice, but the account used is the Admin account. It is unfortunately being shown as a guest account and no longer has the admin permissions after the update. I logged out and back as Atsushi suggested, but same results. It seems the admin=guest now. Could I make the admin account an admin once again by editing the SQL database perhaps? If so, anyone have a link or instructions on how to verify the account or make those changes.

Hi iLLUSiVE, did you ever find a solution to this? I'm having the same issue on 4.0.2 running on Ubuntu Server 18.04 with mysql. As far as I can tell from the contents of the users and users_groups tables my admin account has admin privileges, but when I log in with it it's using the light theme rather than the dark as I had it previously selected, and it's not showing any of my servers, even though the config for them appears to be in the database, as well as not showing any of the configuration options. However, I'm still getting email alerts from it. Thanks if you can help, and if I figure it out I'll post here.

Hi again, I did finally get it to work for me. First I tried resetting the Admin password from the console using these instructions: http://yallalabs.com/linux/zabbix-ho...ut-gui-access/, but that didn't work for me; what did seem to work was clearing my Firefox cookies, data, and saved login for my zabbix site; last week I had been working on setting up https access, and maybe something got borked in the cache. Clearing it seems to have done the trick (I first tried logging in with incognito mode, which worked, so then I decided to try the cache clearing). You've probably figured this out by now but if you had site data cached after an update this might work for you too.
