jmx monitoring by zabbix java gateway not working

Hello

I can't monitor tomcat jmx items with zabbix java gateway.

Versions: RHEL 2.6.32-358.14.1.el6.x86_64, zabbix 2.0.8, zabbix-java-gateway-2.0.8-1.el6.art.x86_64.rpm, apache-tomcat-7.0.41.

I tried the installation of the zabbix-java-gateway on one machine with the zabbix server and on a different machine.

I installed both the server and the gateway via rpm (yum install ...).

I have a nonsense error message in the zabbix web frontend for a server:
"cannot connect to [[10.197.233.12]:9840]: [113] No route to host".

The ip .12 is in a different line, the port 9840 is not configured for the server. There is no firewall between the servers and iptables is switched off.

I installed the zabbix server from packages from scratch and the jmx monitoring worked straightforward.
