    Zabbix troubleshooting

    Hi there folks, I am having issues getting one of our hypervisors to communicate with zabbix correctly.

    The Zabbix agent used to work fine, however it has started alerting that the hypervisor is offline, but it still reports some data (cpu load, ram load etc), the main error is "Get value from agent failed: cannot connect to 192.168.xx.x:10050: [4] interrupted system call"

    I have performed all the troubleshooting I can think of (Reinstalled agent, checked firewall rules, manually added pot 10050, changed config details such as hostname, listen and source IP, everything communicates fine with the server except zabbix.

    I am the second person to try and fix this agent communication issue on one of our hypervisors, so it has already had another set of eyes on it.

    Any suggestions? cheers.

    What hypervisor? So you have the zabbix agent installed on the hypervisor os? Anything in the agent logs? Another option is to tcpdump at the hypervisor to see if it's getting/sending the zabbix traffic.

    Oh, the basic question when something that was working quits, "What changed?"
