Ton of emails from one trigger/multiple events

I setup a trigger to show me when a windows os agent ping is down.

My settings are as follows.

My trigger is

{qb.mycbird.com:agent.ping.nodata(5m)}=1 

If you look at my events it keeps popping up every few minutes this is when i get an email.



Why does it keep popping up as a problem randomly every few minutes? Shouldn't it be a problem until it is up? Rather than coming up every few minutes causing me to get a ton of emails.

It looks like im only getting the trigger email, not the recovery email.

Why is that?

When you look at the graph for that item, is the data sporadic or is it showing no data for the entire period?

In regards to not getting the recovery message, it's likely in your action condition. If it contains 'Trigger value = PROBLEM' you will only get the e-mail when the down event occurs.
