assign hunders of hosts to template

I have updated to version 4.0 and unfortunatelly found out that opening a template I am not able to assign that template to hosts. In previous version there was a table with hosts and groups and I could assign the hosts to the template from the template perspective just by moving hosts from one collumn to the other.

Please, is there any other way how to assign template to hundreds of hosts without ticking on all individual hosts and assign them through mass update?

I have same problem. Only workaround I know is mass update from Hosts-screen. That only works when linking, not when unlinking. Why was this feature removed from Template view?
