Zabbix4 rc3 refused to update to zabbix4.0.0

I previously had zabbix3.5 (then zabbix4 rc3) installed on Ubuntu18.04, and after carefully following the instruction to upgrade here; https://www.zabbix.com/documentation.../debian_ubuntu zabbix would not upgrade to release version 4.0.0 and remained stuck on RC3. Even after examining the zabbix.list file and noting that it was pointing to the zabbix4.0 repo.

root@zabbix4:~# more /etc/apt/sources.list.d/zabbix.list
deb http://repo.zabbix.com/zabbix/4.0/ubuntu bionic main
deb-src http://repo.zabbix.com/zabbix/4.0/ubuntu bionic main

The solution was to manually download each of the the packages and dpkg install them;

Before intervention;

I did note however that during this process, several of the packages complained about being downgraded;

Even though this was the case, when I do an apt dist-upgrade now it says I am up to date.

It is probably the following problem.
ZBX-14940 : Upgrade from 4.0rc* to 4.0 (final) is not offered on Ubuntu using packet repositories

Please remove the rc version package once and install the official release version.
