    agent.ping false positive

    Hello,

I Have false positive with the trigger agent.ping.nodata(5m)}=1.
It was working fine until last week.

Now almost every hour I have alerts that say " Zabbix agent on .... is down "
and it's stop something like 5 minutes later

But when I try from my zabbix server :

    zabbix_get -k agent.ping HOST
    it return 1

I already tried to increase the timeout in the zabbix_server.conf (it's actually 15)

    Some Help would be appreciate

    Zabbix version : 4.0.0

    Sincerely,
    Francesco Origlia

Have you checked the Zabbix server logs?
    Has timeout occurred?

By default, the timeout setting is 3 seconds, so it may be necessary to lengthen the timeout time depending on the environment.
If you see the log and it seems timeout has occurred, try setting the timeout in the Zabbix server and Zabbix agent configuration file longer.

What is the difference between local time on server and agent?
It is advised to keep local time on all your hosts in sync. In order to ensure that you can use item system.localtime and trigger fuzzytime() E. g.
      Code:
      {hostX:system.localtime.fuzzytime(5)}=0
would fire the trigger if difference hostX time differs from server time for over 5 seconds.
