I am new to Zabbix. I have successfully installed the agents on my RH Linux boxes and they are viewable in the events viewer of the GUI Front end.
However I am having trouble getting the Agent to start successfully as a service on my Win2K server machine. The GUI lists the server as a known hosts but says it can not connect.
When I install the file on the Win2K box the service is created, but when I try and run the service it fails. The event viewer says that it is sent a "successful start control" and that is the last message. The service manager then has a perpetual message of starting but nothing more happens.
I am running this as admin, with the default c:\zabbix_agentd.conf file. Is it possibly a rights issue? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
