New Zabbix installation -The frontend does not match the zabbix database

    Hi,

We are evaluating zabbix 2.2.3. We've got it running on RHEL 6, and would like the DB to be on an existing mysql server. The DB has been created on our mysql server, and the zabbix user has full access to it. The necessary firewall ports have been opened. But I'm still getting "the frontend does not match the zabbix database." Searching similar topics, it looks like everyone else was upgrading from 2.0 to 2.2, but this is a new installation. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks

UPDATE: SELinux was denying connection attempts. Once I added a rule, I was able to connect to the mysql server from the zabbix server. However, now in the zabbix_server log I see "received invalid response to SSL negotiation".

And on the mysql server when running wireshark I see "response error 1156 got packets out of order."

      php-mysql version is 5.3.3-27

And I am able to connect to the db from the zabbix server using the mysql command line.
