help please

HI everybody


I posted at least 4 threads but I've received no anwers.

I cant' start ZabbixW32.exe.

Shall I install a JRE, PHP or something else before?


What's more, in my History of events on the monitoring menu (web interface), all the values are set unknown.

In the configuration menu, the monitored host is set not available and the gethostbyname function failed.


Could you please help me and give me some ideas.

Anything in your Zabbix agent log?

Or in your Windows Event Viewer?

Or in your Zabbix server's log?

What if you try to run "ZabbixW32 --config"?

Sorry if my questions seem inane to you.
Where can I see Zabbix agent log?
I can't reach Windows Event viewer, because I can't even install ZabbixW32.exe.
When I launched it, the windows close itself and the service isn't created in the configuration panel

I'm waiting for any piece of advice.

You should have a .conf file in your Zabbix agent directory. If you have some problems installing Zabbix, you can use the file "install.bat", that is in the directory "zabbix-1.1.1\misc\win32floppy". This should be easier for you this way.

Can you please try this and then tell us if it works or no? Please, run the .bat in a command prompt, don't just double-click on it. There is also a "README" file in the same directory.

So I tried to launch the batch file install.bat

c\ Documents and Settings .....win32floppy> install.bat test 172.16.194.2 c:\Program Files\zabbix\zabbix_agent.conf


I got this error message
Installing Zabbix Agent files and
INSTALL ERROR: Can't copy file "..ZabbixW32.exe" in to c:\Program!


Ill continue my researches and I let you know

the " " dont change anything

I thinkh that the ZabbixW32.exe causes troubles. I can't lauch it and the batch script can't move it :here is the error message : Can't copy file "ZabbixW32.exe in to c:\Program".


the read me file return me in the zabbix web site.
But there is no suggest about zabbixW32.


So if you find a solution, it 'll be a high relief!
