Problem Reading Windows Event Log

I have created the following item:

eventlog[Application,,,"SourceToRetrieve",,,]

But it is reporting "Not supported by Zabbix Agent". I am running agent 2.2.1 (revision 40801), which should support this as far as I understand.

I am very new to Zabbix so I'm sure its something silly. Any guidance is appreciated. Thanks.

Do you have that item type set to Zabbix Agent (Active) ?

Yes, I was successfully able to pull all Application logs using the following:

eventlog[Application]

But cannot get the source parameter to work.

DO you mind to test the guess about RegEXP for field "Source" in eventlog?
eventlog[Application,,,"^SourceToRetrieve$",,,]

or you can check http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infoce...xExamples.html to select the proper RegEXP for your situation.

Thanks for the suggestion but unfortunately I get the same result, "Not supported by Zabbix Agent".
