I have just started to use Zabbix, and I have some trouble understanding how it works. From what I understand so far, the zabbix server sends requests to each individual agent based on the monitored items on that agent. How exactly does the Zabbix agent execute the item request? Does it execute some sort of system command? Where can I find the pertinent information?
