ibdata1 Large File Size

Hi All,

New to all this so I'm sorry.

Using Ubuntu 16.04.4 LTS with Zabbix server 3.2.11. We've stopped getting alerts from our server and it seems to be because the server has run out of room. Looking at the ibdata1 file its 50GB in size. Is there a way to perform some house keeping to clear some space? I've done some research on enabling file per table for mysql but haven't proceeded to do this yet. Is it better doing this on a clean install of Zabbix?

File per table is probably what you need, but you will have to unload and reload the zabbix database to get there.

ibdata1 will still be big even after unload/reload... see things like https://stackoverflow.com/questions/...-file-in-mysql
