Zabbix Agent on Windows won't start: "Only one usage of each socket address ..."

    Hello all,

    Here's the situation:

    - installed Zabbix Agent 3.4.6 on Windows Server 2012 R2
    - configuration file is attached

When agent starts, immediately exits with following error:

    Code:
1448:20190129:220355.132 Starting Zabbix Agent [MYHOST]. Zabbix 3.4.0 (revision 71462).
      1448:20190129:220355.132 **** Enabled features ****
      1448:20190129:220355.132 IPv6 support: YES
      1448:20190129:220355.132 TLS support: NO
      1448:20190129:220355.132 **************************
      1448:20190129:220355.132 using configuration file: C:\zabbix\conf\zabbix_agentd.conf
1448:20190129:220355.147 listener failed: bind() for [[-]:10050] failed: [0x00002740] Only one usage of each socket address (protocol/network address/port) is normally permitted.
After checking on the Internet, my thought was that it had to do with a "classic" problem: https://support.socketlabs.com/index...rticle/View/61
However, I have confirmed that there are only about 60 active connections at any one time, so I'm confused as to why the ports would be exhausted.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Tx,

    Ryan

PS - I've also tried with Zabbix Agent 3.4.6. Same issue.

https://support.zabbix.com/browse/ZBX-15316 might be related. However, the fix will be available for 3.0.26 and 4.0.5, not for 3.4 (not supported anymore).
"listener failed: bind() for [[-]:10050] failed:" means that most likely there is a process from previously running agent instance, which has not been stopped properly. Try to look into "Task Manager" which process it is and terminate it. Then agent should start successfully.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, I see no process from a previously running agent and 10050 still reads as free.
