New Zabbix Server (is not running) Value : No

I'm new to Zabbix and decided to run through it's paces to test it out.

So far I've got it installed on CentOS virtual machine. Using this guide

Under the status of Zabbix I've got a parameter "Zabbix service is running" with a value of "No"

I have disabled SELinux in hopes of fixing this issue but haven't had any luck. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Hello and welcome!

Your zabbix_server process is not running for some reason. There are plenty of possible causes for that. However there are plenty of resources that help to solve them as well.

Here will be some pointers:

• make sure your zabbix-server service is started
• check the Zabbix server logs for more detailed info on the problems it may have
• check zabbix_server.conf file and see if you have correct credentials etc.

There might be some more details on the setup issues and config settings.
