    Basic Installation issue

    Hi Everyone,
Ok I'm pretty much a linux newbie so please -- be gentle.

I have built a box with Debian Sarge running the 2.6 kernel and I am trying to get Zabbix installed on it. I have installed MySQL and net-snmp with the perl modules. When I run the ./configure for Zabbix i can see that it detects MYSQL but does not detect the net-snmp installation. then idf I try to start the Zabbix server it fails complaining that it is unable to find a net-snmplib.10.o file
I have also tried installing it without SNMP support (although I will need snmp) and I get the message that it cant find the zabbix_server.conf file. It is looking for it in the wrong path but I dont know how to fix that either.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
