wrong Serve items

Hi,

our Zabbix Server notified a lot of strange items:
- Systemtime is out of sync
- Version of zabbix_agent(d) was changed
- disk fill to fast (a comparision from diffrent values)
- ntpd service is not running

-> systemtime is ok -> in sync with pool.ntp.org
-> there is a new version of zabbix - agent installed
-> ususally, there are only db entries from zabbix, not more -> the message is not comprehensible
-> the ntpd is running (after a restart -> the same item)

And now the best: this items are available from time to time without any changes on the host!
From time to time the systemtime is in sync or not, the ntp - service is running or not,...


The Server:
Ubuntu - Server 12.04.4 LTS (up to date)
Zabbix server v2.2.3 (revision 44105) (7 April 2014) Compilation time: Apr 10 2014 05:50:34
Zabbix Agent (daemon) v2.2.3 (revision 44105) (7 April 2014) Compilation time: Apr 10 2014 05:50:34
MySQL - Server
-> all programs from ubuntu - repo!

What can I do?

I'm appreciative for usefull hints.

Please, check that you have only one version of Agent and Server started.

Sometimes by mistake Agent can be installed in different directory and after that two concurrent Agent's will send the different data to server.

wrong Serve items

Hello aib,

thanks for your hint.

I had the agent and server count checkd and did a restart after updates before the post.

The former version was installed from *.tar, the newer one (2.2.3) from Ubuntu.
The old installation is now in a tar archiv (therefor not executable).
On the server are 63 zabbix_server processes and 6 zabbix_agentd processes running (ps axu | grep zabbix_agent / grep zabbix_server).
The binarys are /usr/sbin/zabbix_server and /usr/sbin/zabbix_agentd.

wrong Server items

hi,

has no one an hint for me?



The messages are present from time to time or not; the currios thing: the time will be added -> if one of them for a time not visible, I have a nice time, but if the item visible, the time "age" (or so, I have the german view) is not start from 0sec, it will start after the last time.
