I'm currently going through our setup in order to reduce redundant items and ultimately NVPS (currently at ~1200).
We have a bunch of hypervisors with tap interfaces for each VM. Since we also monitor network interfaces inside the VM, I want to filter out tap interfaces from the host.
I've added ^tap\d+$ to the network interface discovery exclude regex, but it's not working. Existing items are not removed (should they?), and new tap interfaces are still being discovered (even days later).
What am I missing? I've used LLD filtering on custom templates before and believe it "just worked".
