    Problem name: Free disk space is less than 20% on volume Host: Zabbix server

    Hello guys,

    I am using zabbix 4.0.4 in a small environment like 10 hosts monitoring. Zabbix downloaded as hyper-v appliance version and it has 5gb disk storage. Disk space report looks in a trouble, 200 mb disk space is free from 5 gb disk space. It is mean %4 and I am worried about it.
    What can I do for that problem. I'm pretty rookie about zabbix. Please help me.

    Ciao Alessandro, do you try to expande the vhd of the zabbix server from hyper-v?

        My zabbix server is dying at the end, zabbix server is giving database error;
        MySQL database "zabbix" on "localhost" is not available: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2)

        Disk state is;

        root@zabbix:/home/appliance# df -h
        Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
        udev 7.9G 0 7.9G 0% /dev
        tmpfs 1.6G 33M 1.6G 3% /run
        /dev/mapper/zabbix--vg-root 5.1G 5.1G 0 100% /
        tmpfs 7.9G 0 7.9G 0% /dev/shm
        tmpfs 5.0M 0 5.0M 0% /run/lock
        tmpfs 7.9G 0 7.9G 0% /sys/fs/cgroup
        /dev/sda1 472M 278M 170M 63% /boot

        What can I do at this point?

          Well your DB is probably having problems, because there is no disk space... The appliance is actually not meant for serious production use. But anyway, I do not know, how to expand disks on hyper-v, but there is nothing special about Zabbix here, just google for how to expand disk on hyper-v for linux guest.
          I would recommend reading about Zabbix DB size and planning:

            I resolved the problem. Disk size extended with successfuly.
            I read this article and I did extend disk size with gparted cd
