how to monitor cloud VM with snmp?

    Hello,
    I am new with Zabbix.
I use SNMP to monitor some servers which have ip like xx.xx.xx.xx,
I just need to install SNMP on these servers and start service and set up my zabbix server IP , it works well.
the problem is that I want to monitor a cloud VM server with SNMP,
but these cloud VM server has specific port, such as xx.xx.xx.xx:yyyyy

    usually I RDP to xx.xx.xx.xx:yyyy,
but in Zabbix , I don't how to set the host.

    Anybody has experience with this?
or how do you monitor your cloud VM with Zabbix?

    Thanks.

Please, check the Host settings, especially Interfaces part of screen.
For SNMP interface you can setup not only IP address, but also Port
    Attached Files

Do you mind to show the output of snmpwalk?
        Code:
        snmpwalk -v 2c -c public [B]xx.xx.xx.xx:yyyyy[/B] 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.1
I'm little bit confused when I see the words RDP and SNMP in the same context, because it are two completely different protocols.
        Sincerely yours,
        Aleksey

          RDP is remote desk protocol

          Hello,
          Sorry to confused you .
actually ,I usually use remote desktop connection to connect to remote server which has IP : xx.xx.xx.xx
for these server s, I can use zabbix snmp monitoring .
          and
I usually use remote desktop connection to connect to remote Cloud VM server which has IP : xx.xx.xx.xx , but I need to input xx.xx.xx.xx:yyyy to establish connection. yyyy is the port Azure set up .
For these cloud vm servers ,
I can't use zabbix snmp monitoring , in other word , I don't know how to set up host in zabbix . if I put xx.xx.xx.xx:yyyy into ip address, it said incorrect.
if I put yyyy into port , it said "timout while reaching xx.xx.xx.xx:yyyy

          Thanks.

I hope you understand, that RDP and SNMP are using the different ports and serviced by different daemons.

When you request device by SNMP - you are using port 161.

When you connect to device by RDP - you are using TCP port 3389 and UDP port 3389

First of all, you have to check if SNMP daemon started on Cloud VM server and if they answering for any request.
From Zabbix Server CLI use the command which I gave you earlier, but enter only IP-address, without port
            Code:
            snmpwalk -v 2c -c public xx.xx.xx.xx 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.1
If snmpwalk give you any output - you can go farther.
If not - check how you can turn on SNMP daemon on xx.xx.xx.xx server.
            Sincerely yours,
            Aleksey
