user zabbix does not exists

I have a strange problem. I compiled zabbix agent in a clean ubuntu trusty (14.04) chroot. If i try to start this agent on an trusty server i get:

zabbix_agentd [26812]: user zabbix does not exist
zabbix_agentd [26812]: cannot run as root!

If i build an agent same way in an precise (12.04) chroot the agent can be started without any problems.

Any idea?

Just create the zabbix user ?

The user exists. If i wrote, the precise build will start without problems.
I tried to setup a build host from scratch and get the same problem.
