Issues retrieving SNMP values

I have an snmp server running on port 8161 that I'm trying to use zabbix to monitor, but am having issues. The snmp server is printing out errors in the logs that seem to indicate it can't send the value back to zabbix.

00:00:14.53 3 SNMP [10.11.0.201:33031] request failed: objectID does not fit in the buffer

Is this a zabbix issue or an issue with my snmp server? The error sounds like it's a zabbix issue.

For reference, this still works fine in our old 1.1beta5 system. Any ideas?

I know this is an old post, but I was able to fix this by changing to use the numeric OID as opposed to the text one.

So

.1.3.6...

instead of

.iso.org.dod...
