Mapped the media type to the user .
Created SSMTP configuration .

Getting an error "Connection timeout of 3 seconds exceeded when connecting to Zabbix server "localhost"."

If this error message is output, you may not have set up the media, or the user's media setup may be set to use the registered media by default. Make sure that it is configured as a media and that you have configured users to send email using that media.

I had configured the media types and also mapped the media type to the users .. Screenshot uploaded

You seem to have set up a media test for the user. The media test is supposed to run the script mail-sender.sh and it will be Disabled so mail will not be sent.
With this setting, the error "Connection timeout of 3 seconds exceeded when connecting to Zabbix server" localhost ". Does not occur.
