    Changing default severity

I've Googled the heck out of this and I don't really see where the settings are for this. Most of the hosts are autodiscovered using proxies rather than adding manually. With so many hosts (~500 now with lots more to add), all I seem to do anymore is reclassify Problems from Average down to Information (we couldn't care less if TrustedInstaller isn't running). At any one time we can end up with hundreds of alerts and when you add in we wish to integrate into VictorOps, it'll only get worse with a flood of unneeded alerts.uc browser shareit appvn

Do you want to change the severity of opened problems? It yes i think you would need the API.
If you just want to change the severity of future problems you just need to edit the template (maybe using mass update)

you could also try to setup a regular expression on the discovery rule, to exclude the services you don't won't to monitor.
