ZABBIX - agent check - is unreachable for "x" time

    HI,
We are having problem with the
"Zabbix agent on {HOST.NAME} is unreachable for 1 minutes", trigger.

I kow there are many post about problems with this trigger, but in our case the trigger, when executed, it sends 2 messages, almost at the same time,
    1 for PROBLEM, saying that the agent is unreachable ;
    and a
2 for an OK message, saying is reacheble again....

we change the time check to 5 minutes, then 10.... and we are still seeing the error, but, of 9 servers we are having this issue with only 1 server....

can you guide us to find the solution for this?
    May it be a bug?
maay it be a bottle neck of some how in this particular server?

thank you so much for the help.

On your Zabbix server, in zabbix_server.conf is a parameter called Timeout= that is set at a default value of 3. Try increasing that to 15 or 20, then restart your Zabbix server process.

Note that for a new value to take effect, you either have to remove the # comment from that line, or create a new line with your new value that doesn't have the # comment preceding it.

Secondly, have a look at this post https://www.zabbix.com/forum/showthread.php?t=41219 at the last paragraph which describes how to view your Zabbix internal processes. Possibly your system is overloaded and there are not enough pollers allocated to do the work.

Thank you so much for the answer.
I did what you told me to and the problem persists.
I change the TIMEOUT to 20, then addded more pollers, and
even doe I did this, we still receive the alarms every five minutes, but what's annoying is
that I receive the OK, and PROBLEM mails at the same time, and when I check the agent it is perfectly fine.

      What can it be?

Again, thank you for all your help.

What version of the agent are you using?

Did this start happening because of any upgrades?

Do you have the proper agent installed? (32 or 64 bit)

          Zabbix-Agent: zabbix-agent_2.2.4-1+wheezy_amd64.deb
          Zabbix Server: zabbix-2.2.5

No, this is a brand new instalation.

We are using the 64bit version, and yes it is the correct one, but as I mentioned before, this only happens in this server.

To be honest I'm incline to think this must be a overload situation, or maybe a conf. problem...

Again thank you so much for your help
