Zabbix Agent Can't be Contacted

Hi,

I have a self hosted Zabbix server with multiple hosts (CENTOS & FREEBSD) These have been working perfectly on zabbix 32 for a couple of years. I had to upgrade the Freebsd servers to version 12 and this also required I got to zabbix 42 on the agent end. Ever since then (with no zabbix agent changes in config) the servers give an error message that the zabbix agent can't be contacted, even though the events, like apache down or up are triggering normally.

Its there something I should do at the server end ? it is showing 3.4.2 on the front page of the web portal at the server.

Also getting this message one the hosts page

"Received empty response from Zabbix Agent at [10.136.45.72]. Assuming that agent dropped connection because of access permissions."

If the Zabbix server is using version 3.4.2, the Zabbix agent version must be 3.4 or earlier. Try using a version 3.4 agent.

I think I'll have to upgrade the server. I had to upgrade the agents as they wouldn't work on freebsd 12 as there was a missing lib.

Run the Zabbix Agent in the debug mode and check the logs for more informations
