    Zabbix Agent and AcronisCommandLineTool

    Hello,

    We are using Acronis Backup and recovery as a backup solution.

    I'm trying to monitor the backups status via an agent and a UserParameter like:
    UserParameter=AcronisStatus,C:\SUPERVISION\ACRONIS COMMANDLINETOOL\acrocmd list plans --filter_status=ok | FIND /C "ok"

    But the result is always ZBX_NOTSUPPORTED. Running this command in a dos prompt is ok.

    I tried to put the command in a .bat. And then executing the .bat via UserParameter. But the result is the same. The problem is really the acrocmd executable via agent.

    I tried the 32 and 64 bit version of the agent.
    The version using is 2.2.5 (revision 47406).

    Does anyone see a solution?

    Thank you.
    Best regards.
    Emeric.

    Hi Emeric,

    Zabbix agent itself is fine. Some things and pointers for you to check:
    1) Please set UnsafeUserParameters=1 in zabbix_agentd.conf file on that host. Don't forget to restart agent service after editing configuration.

    2) I will not test it on my systems now but some pointers on the UserParameter.
    Please use brackets for the file path.
    Try escaping special characters with a backslash.

    Not sure if it will work but play around with this:
    Code:
    UserParameter=AcronisStatus,"C:\SUPERVISION\ACRONIS COMMANDLINETOOL\acrocmd" list plans --filter_status=ok | FIND \/C "ok"
    Best Regards,
    Ingus

      Thank you for your answer.

      ok I tried what you said. i had already tried some of the tips.

      Nothing better.
      Something is not compatible between the agent and the executable it seems.

      Even simplifying the command to :
      Code:
      UserParameter=AcronisStatus,"C:\SUPERVISION\ACRONISCOMMANDLINETOOL\acrocmd"
      is not working.
      This is weird.
