Refuses to send mail to some users, no errors

I had the Config > Actions > Operations > Default "Report problems to Zabbix administrators" working fine to send email to me using default operations "Send to User groups" administrators.

I then added two more administrators and it refused to send email to those users. I'm checking gmail out box and the only thing in there is the messages going to me. Yes the new administrators have their profile filled out with a media email that is enabled.

I then changed Config > Actions > Operations > Default "Report problems to Zabbix administrators" to specifically three administrators and again it will only send email to me.

    Why?

Is that a troubleshooting step? I didn't want them as super admin.

OK, so that worked. Why did that make a difference? I have the action set up to send to specific people not the admin group as is default.

Maxburn zabbix can't execute action for standard user, This is must be Super Admin.

          Thanks.

The users were administrators not standard users. The send email wouldn't work even if I selected those users specifically and not the standard "administrators" group.

            Sounds broken to me.

Yes, that doesn't make any sense to me. Why would users have to be super admin just to receive email notifications? What if I don't want that user to be able to do all the things super admin can but I do want them to receive email notifications?

They don't have to be super admins. User group just has to have an access to host groups which are involved in trigger: https://www.zabbix.com/documentation...in#adding_user

dimir . My zabbix version 4.0.0rc3. So without super admin can't set permission read-write.

                    User permission https://prnt.sc/ppgtnn
                    Admin permission https://prnt.sc/ppgtuo
                    Zabbix super admin permission https://prnt.sc/ppguch

But I see your provided guide setup permission for read-write. Which this version?
                    Please see my screenshot link.

                    Thanks.

The permissions cannot be assigned on a "host" -- "user" level, but only on a "host group" -- "user group" level. For example, create user "Test" with user type "Zabbix User" and assign it to a user group "No access to the frontend". Now add permissions to the user group:
                      1. Go to "Administration -> User groups"
                      2. Click user group, for example "No access to the frontend"
                      3. Click "Permissions" tab
                      4. Select some host groups and click "Read" on the right
                      5. Click "Add" button under "Include subgroups"
                      6. Click "Update" button at the bottom
Now if you go to permissions of the "Test" user you will see the "Read" permissions to affected host groups.

I ran into this problem too - Check out Configuration -> Actions -> Trigger Actions
You will see a default one that sends messages only to zabbix administrators. Add additional actions for the groups you wish to add. This fixed it for me.
