Discovery reinstates deleted hosts

Hi
I've probably got something skew here but im not really sure where to look beyond the gui, i can tail logs quite happily but not 100% on where to look for this one.

In the past i had a few servers that were monitored and discovered all good, these servers have since been switched off/deleted and then deleted from the Zabbix gui (configurations > hosts )however when the discovery rules run they keep re-adding the IP and associated templates from the actions linked to the discovery rules. I then get notifications to say they are unavailable/unreachable!

The discovery check is simply
"Zabbix agent "system.hostname""

The IP's are not used for anything and essentially dead but these machines keep coming back from the dead!

sorry just seen this notification!

I did but couldn't tell you for sure how as i ended up just disabling the hosts and ignoring them in the end, it was either a mix of recreating the discovery rules and or updating the server to a newer version but it seems to have stopped!

The available options for easily maintaining and structuring hosts can be menu, by selecting the Check_MK Discovery service with the button With this you can delete explicit attributes from the selected hosts and reinstate.
