    Help with Ubuntu Firewall

    SOLVED
Sorry everyone, it was a typo on my part, i put my machines IP as a hostname and the GT-105-213 as the visible name -.- I feel stupid.

I'm going to leave this post up for now, as some of the firewall info/telnet info may help others to diagnose their own problems. Mods, feel free to delete if you so choose.

    Hey all,

I've just built a brand new setup of Zabbix on a HP G8 dl360, with 2 SSD's in RAID1. After verifying with a prebuilt version that Zabbix can satisfy many of my needs.

It's running Ubuntu 14.04, and i have everything setup properly / the same as the precompiled version I had used.

My hostname in the frontend is the EXACT same as my machine, GT-105-213

Previously, when i got this error:
    Code:
5592:20140930:123335.249 no active checks on server [192.168.105.248:10051]: host [GT-105-213] not found
I discovered i had to open the firewall like this:

    Code:
    SuSEfirewall2 open EXT TCP zabbix-trapper zabbix-agent
    Then reload the firewall rules:

    SuSEfirewall2 stop
    SuSEfirewall2 start
However with Ubuntu, i've completely disabled the firewall
    Code:
    sudo ufw disable
But i still get that error in my agent logs.

I am also able to telnet to my server from my machine, pointing to 192.168.105.248 10051 AND 10050. I can telnet from my server to my machine via telnet 192.168.105.213 10050, but not via 10051.

    Code:
    zabbix@Zabbix:~$ telnet 192.168.105.213 10051
    Trying 192.168.105.213...
telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Connection refused
    zabbix@Zabbix:~$ telnet 192.168.105.213 10050
    Trying 192.168.105.213...
    Connected to 192.168.105.213.
    Escape character is '^]'.
    Connection closed by foreign host.
Can anyone give me a hand? I know it's nothing with the agent, because these configs all worked perfectly before hand. Seems to just be something with Ubuntu firewall.
