    Network interface freeze randomly

    Hello,

I have a problem that begin to be boring: the network interface of the Zabbix server freeze, so I have a lot of alert saying "Agent Unreachable".
It is happening randomly, sometime no problem during two weeks and sometime it happening every day during 2-3 days.

I can ping agents involved from another computer. Telnet works although on another computer.

The only way I found to fix it is restart the network interface.

I wonder if this is a known problem and if there is a solution. I will try to create a trigger to detect this problem to restart the network interface of the Zabbix server automaticaly

I'm using Zabbix 2.4.0 and this problem was present with zabbix 2.0.3 too.

    Thanks!

Sounds to me more like maybe you do not have enough Zabbix processes allocated to handle the workload. See the very last paragraph of this post and the graphs that are with it, then take a look at yours and see if anything is out of normal range: https://www.zabbix.com/forum/showthread.php?t=41219

      Hello,

      Thanks for your answer.

I checked graphes, the only thing strange is the zabbix unreachable poller process.

It value was around 25% with a pic at 55% that match with the moment of loss of agents. After the network interface rebooting, the value is around 5% and rising.

In configuration file of the zabbix server, the value "StartPollersUnreachable" was 10, I changed it in 20.

      I will keep you updated.

You're welcome. Those graphs are something you will need to keep an eye on as you continue to add more hosts/items/triggers. The Server conf file needs to be adjusted every so often for pollers/trappers/cache.
