Hello everybody,
I've got a group of hosts which all have the "Recieved empty responce from Zabbix Agent at [<hostname>]. Assuming that agent dropped connection because of access p". I think that the last "p" should be "policy" or something, but then the alt="" text would get too long
.
The weird thing is though, that the agent works flawlessly. I get values for all my items and the triggers also work without a hitch. It is just the error in the zabbix interface, but I do think something is wrong with the Zabbix checks and I would like to resolve that.
The hosts are all configured to be monitored via a DNS name and the monitoring flows through a Zabbix Proxy. The Zabbix Server can't resolve the DNS names, but the Zabbix Proxy can. Could this cause problems?
On DebugLevel 3 there was no line whatsoever in /var/log/zabbix/zabbix_agentd.log. When I switch the DebugLevel over to 4, I do get a lot of lines in the zabbix_agentd.log (as expected) and there are no errors there. It is just happily monitoring everything and reporting this back to the Zabbix Proxy.
The Zabbix Server, Zabbix Proxy and agent machine are all running CentOS 6.5 64bit, by the way. Everything is also running Zabbix 2.2.6.
What could be the cause of this fairly weird behaviour?
Best regards,
Cybertinus
