    OVF deploy on vmware 6.7U3

As a total newby with Zabbix i downloaded the easy way of Zabbix.
so i downloaded the OVF template for rolling out in VMware.
As soon as i select the .ovf ad vmdk file it prompt me for a error saying :

    Issues detected with selected template. Details: - -1:-1:VALUE_ILLEGAL: No supported hardware versions among [virtualbox-2.2]; supported: [vmx-04, vmx-07, vmx-08, vmx-09, vmx-10, vmx-11, vmx-12, vmx-13, vmx-14, vmx-15].

how to fix this ?? it seems to me the export to .ovf seems not OK to be imported in vSphere 6.7U3

    all help appriciated.

I guess some OVF's generated by VirtualBox require a little adjustment before they can be imported into VMWare: https://communities.vmware.com/thread/592187

OK finally after a lot of modifications i get the appliance imported into vcenter 6.7U3.
next one is now getting network up and running as although it is still DHCP i do not get a valid ip-address.
the appliance is up and running but i'm not able to login with root or zabbix user to Zabbix server Appliance (mysql) for some reason.

i find it very very hard to believe Zabbix is a good monitoring application if we already have that much of difficulties get it up and running on VMware.

It's been very good for our needs, but I've never tried the appliance, so I don't know much about it. The documentation for the appliance indicates it's for experiencing a pre-configured Zabbix environment. It does says that the appliance is not meant for production use.

You might have had better luck if you had picked the VMDK download link for VMWare & Virtualbox, rather than the OVF, but that's just a guess. I too would expect that the OVF would import into VMWare without trouble.

Just to add, I too tried to import it to Vmware esxi without success.
I tried both the OVF & VMDK (specific to VMWare)

          Both failed.
I am successful importing to VirtualBox and have it running on that ATM. I'd rather it run on other platform though.

I used the ISO and installed the system that way. Seems to work.
