no active checks on server [SERVERIP:10051]: host [HOSTNAME] not found

Hello,
I'm trying to install a Server, proxy, clients configuration. Clients work properly with snmp configuration but clients with windows agent active give me this error messange "no active checks on server [SERVERIP:10051]: host [HOSTNAME] not found"
On client configuration I setted Server=IPSEVER Server Active=IPPROXY,IPSERVER Hostname=HOSTNAME (equal to host setted on zabbixserver).

• zabbix server on azure vm version 4.4.4
• zabbix proxy appliance on local network version 4.4.5
• zabbix agent installed on windows server on the same local network version 4.4.5

windows client agent log.

Server (for passive checks), as well as ServerActive (for active checks) should both specify proxy details if all the checks are going through proxy. If you only intend to use active checks, disable passive mode by setting StartAgents=0 in the agent configuration file. Other possible reasons:

• your frontend and Zabbix server use different databases
• the host (HOSTNAME) was just been added to configuration and proxy hasn't yet received the update (by default - once per hour)

Hello Dimir,
seems that the problem is partial fixed because now windows agent log file haven't previus error but the zmx agent icon on the server is always grey. If i check on proxy log found this error.

on the proxy setting I setted

ProxyMode=0
Server=IPSERVER (pubblic IP of cloud server on azure)
ServerPort=10051
Hostname=SERVERHOSTNAME
ListenPort=10051

Is there anythings settings wrongs?

Aactive agent checks do not affect host availability: https://www.zabbix.com/documentation...guration/hosts

Looks like this is an agent running locally on proxy host and by default its hostname is "Zabbix server", but the server does not have that host.

Good observation, infact I have used proxy appliance and in this download is already install also the agent. Is better that I setting also this proxy agent and add on the server or is better that stop this service?

If you need to monitor the operating system resources/performance (free memory, free disk space, CPU utilization) of the host where proxy runs - use agent on proxy. If you only need to monitor the health of Zabbix proxy - you can use Zabbix proxy itself.

Hello Dimir and thank you for your support, now the system seems to work properly. Tha ZBX agent icons are also grey but work aniway. I dont know how to close o set solved on ticket.
